Does the Soundbar Need to Match Your TV Brand?

No. All soundbars connect to any TV via HDMI ARC or optical input. That said, pairing an LG soundbar with an LG TV unlocks additional features — automatic volume sync, one-remote control through the TV menu, and AI Sound Pro calibration. What is Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos is an object-based surround sound format that adds a height dimension to audio. Instead of sound coming only from the sides, Atmos-enabled soundbars use upward-firing speakers to bounce audio off the ceiling, creating an overhead layer. The result is more immersive, three-dimensional sound for movies, TV shows, and games that support the format.

What does 3.1.2ch mean?

The three numbers refer to speaker channels. The first number (3) is main channels — left, centre, right. The second (1) is the subwoofer. The third (2) is the height channels for Dolby Atmos. A 5.1.2ch system adds left and right surround speakers to that setup.

Do soundbars come with a subwoofer?

Most models in our lineup include a wireless subwoofer. The specific configuration is listed in each product description.

Do open box soundbars perform the same as new?

Yes. Our soundbars are inspected and tested before listing. They perform identically to a new unit — the only difference is the price.
